About The Photographer
Hello Everyone,
I would like to introduce myself. My name is Vanessa Kuehne (last name pronounced like Keen). Mostly everyone I know calls me Nessie or Ness. I am a newcomer to the entrepreneur world. I hope by sharing my journey and art it may inspire others to do the same, maybe some of you that haven’t had the motivation to get out there and show others your passion, like me, that has not had the motivation until now to do this. Instead of inventing something new, I am just creating new pieces of art to share with you.
I currently live in Minnesota and I actually live right by a river and woods, so, I have ample wildlife to photograph, even when I don’t decide to travel to take pictures. I have always had a passion for art since I was very young, coloring, drawing, painting, and most of all photography. I love art so much that I even took every art class in high school, well…except for sculpture, I didn’t think I’d be very good at that, as I took a ceramics class in high school and although I did my best effort, it was pretty much an epic fail, so, I bypassed sculpture as I figured it would be similar, ha, ha. But photography continued to be my strong suit.
I started out like most with a digital camera that could easily fit in your pocket. It was an easy and somewhat less expensive way to continue with this passion of mine. During this time we also did not have the phones we have nowadays that can take the excellent pictures that they do. I didn’t decide to officially ditch the digital camera for an upgrade until I graduated from college. I started out with a less expensive DSLR camera. It did come with a camera bag and two different sized lenses. I thought it was a great camera for a beginner just getting used to lenses and the more advanced level of a camera. I had that camera maybe a year and then I figured it was time to upgrade to a more expensive investment. I did some research on different cameras, lenses, and companies. I ended up going with a mirrorless camera and purchased a macro lens and a telephoto lens, which was an expensive investment, but well worth it, as the camera and lenses are immaculate. I recently purchased two smaller lenses that supposedly are the best ones you can have in your lens collection according to other photographers that have the same camera as me. I figured I should purchase a lens(s) that I can use more universally. I am hoping that this will get me through for a while.
I have finally decided it was time to share some of my collection of photographs with everyone and also make it available for purchase. My Gallery may seem like a random bunch of photos, as I don’t per say have a single niche when it comes to photography. I love taking pictures of subjects that catch my eye and I feel worthy of a moment captured. These photographs are my favorites that I have taken over the years and have a special place in my heart. I hope you too will enjoy them as much as I do. Every picture was a special moment for me and capturing a moment I may only witness once in my lifetime. I personally enjoy taking pictures of nature, landscapes and animals. I haven’t quite decided if I want to hop on the photographing people bandwagon, as I never liked being photographed myself and as of right now I could not see myself doing this niche of photography, not to say I will never do this in my future, just right now I enjoy what I currently take pictures of.
Overall, I hope you enjoy what I have to share. I hope to blog a bit more on my website, when time permits and/or if I have a story to share. If you do decide to purchase anything from me, I greatly appreciate the support!
Cheers!
Vanessa
