Tropical and Ocean Photographs
I wanted to explain where I got some of my tropical and ocean photography shots. I can say 99.9% of the photographs I have currently in My Gallery of tropical and ocean photography were taken in Negril, Jamaica, which is also currently the number one vacation I have been on thus far. Between the climate, the resort where we stayed, the people, and the atmosphere, we did not want to leave by the end of our trip. It will be a trip to remember and definitely a destination worth revisiting in the future. There were many spectacular sunsets and photo opportunities while on this trip that I could never put my phone down. You got that right, MY PHONE, I took most of the pictures you see right from my phone, with very little editing after I decided to place them on canvases. Just goes to show how well our modern-day smart phones can handle taking a picture.
The photos of the Palm Tree Jungle and Palms are ones I took while on a trip to Manzanillo, Mexico, all I can say is the summer heat here in Minnesota does not even compare to the heat in Manzanillo, it was both hot and very humid. I remember the dye from my brother’s jeans stained the top of his white shoes from the humidity. As well as the dye from my tank top ended up dying my skin a nice hot pink on my shoulders. You can even take a swim in the pool or ocean and the moment you step out of the water it only took moments before you were dry again. It was a decent trip, just the heat and the humidity physically drained us all but was definitely an experience to remember.
The photography of the Ocean Starfish was truly taken underwater close to the beach in Negril, Jamaica. I purchased an underwater camera before our trip. Just to clarify, I did not use a disposable underwater camera, I invested in a digital underwater camera, so I could continue to use it over and over and I wanted one that took decent pictures. While on our trip I wanted to be able to take some underwater photography and I also wanted a camera I could bring out the beach without worrying about getting it wet. The water is very calm where we stayed, which was located on 7 Mile beach. This made it much easier to take photos underwater. According to the locals, the ocean waves stay pretty calm year round.
So, that’s a bit about those photos. I love traveling to warm climates and especially where I have close access to the Ocean. I don’t go on trips like this very often so I try to take as many photographs as I can to remember a time well spent, however, I don’t let it consume my vacation as there is time that needs to be spent just enjoying and being in the moment and sharing that moment with those around you.
Cheers!
Vanessa
